Premise
TheFreeHit.com was founded with the intention of filling the void created by the mainstream media by noticing a gap between what the media was reporting and what the general public was understanding.
We also intend to slow down the way ‘breaking news’ arrives, which often leads to false or inaccurate information being disseminated in society.
In pursuance of our vision and mission, and to be the most trusted platform through which people get news and information on the most important issues, we follow certain ethical principles.
Ethical Principles
In our endeavor to further our intention expressed above and to become the most trusted platform through which people get news and information on the most important issues, we have adopted the following principles:
Be a neutral forum that facilitates dialogue and enables people from different backgrounds and political leanings to come together, discuss and resolve the issues that matter most.
Present the most accurate critical information available at the time we are reporting on a particular issue.
Credit sources wherever necessary or applicable.
Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and prohibited. Strive for a balanced, unbiased and logical opinion on issues.
Maintain a clear distinction between commercial interests and editorial decision making. In no way can commercial interests dominate editorial decision making.
Give accurate information instead of breaking news. If sufficient information is not available we will wait and not speculate before sharing.
Include diverse voices to make the story fair and balanced. If a mistake is made, apologize publicly and correct the mistake.
If a story is not editorial and is an advertorial/advertising, promote or mention it at the beginning.
Be strong and determined despite pressure from people in power. Stand by the editorial in case of any legal disputes and harassment.
