On October 6, Pakistan had won the match played with Netherlands at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. But, a big news related to that match is coming out, which can increase the problems of the team’s star batsman Mohammad Rizwan, because a person has written a letter against him and complained to the ICC. Now it remains to be seen how ICC handles this matter.
After knowing the news of this complaint, you too must be wondering what Mohammad Rizwan did on the field… Actually, Rizwan had offered namaz on the field during the match played against Netherlands. High Court lawyer Vineet Jindal has complained against this to the ICC. Lawyer Vineet Jindal wrote a letter to ICC Chairman Greg Barclay, “This is a complaint about Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Rizwan, who was seen offering Namaz on the field during the World Cup match against Netherlands in Hyderabad on 6 October. Rizwan’s act of offering Namaz amidst many Indians on the cricket field is a deliberate portrayal of his religion, which is against the spirit of the game.”
He further wrote, “Mohammed Rizwan doing this raises questions about the ideology that players follow while playing matches. Rizwan deliberately showed his religion, which shows that he is a Muslim. Rizwan was seen praying in the middle of the field while his teammates were waiting for drinks during the break.”
